Proem has merged with Assessment and Development Services Ltd and although the Proem Brand will remain, the new business will be known as Boardroom Dynamics Limited. After months in the planning, we commenced trading in 2008 and have secured new contracts with organisations such as Flowserve Flow Controls part of a $4 billion US multinational, Vitacress Salads in the UK and in Portugal, Southampton FC, Warner Goodman Commercial - Solicitors and an appointment for managing Director, Leslie Spiers to act as Non Executive Chairman of Blandford based C&O Tractors Ltd. Proem has been appointed by Allen and York, the leading recruitment company in the environmental sector, to examine their existing appraisal arrangements and to produce a comprehensive Performance Management system to enable the company to grow its people to meet the demanding objectives of their 3 year strategic plan. Proem was closely involved with the development of the strategy and looks forward to its continues association with Allen and York. Leslie Spiers is running to keep up in a whistle stop tour of the South East of England at Business Link's Better Business Brunch's. Leslie is presenting a series of workshops on Winning Business Strategy to Small Business Owners from Ashford in Kent to Milton Keynes in the north of the region and south to Fareham in Hampshire. Delegates in great numbers have marked the workshops as either excellent or very good and have found in particular the tools presented to help companies turn strategy into clear objectives.

Proem has been assisting a number of clients in the small to medium business sectors to develop a medium to long term perspective. Such clients include C&O Tractors in Blandford, Mercator Media, a publishing and Events business based in Fareham and Control Techniques Dynamics, part of US corporate Emerson, based in Andover. Managers need to be working "on" the business as well as "in" the business and Proem's role is to assist and support (and sometimes cajole!) executives to create sustainable strategies for the one to three year plan period.

Lloyds TSB called in Proem to run their breakfast event in Weymouth based around the theme of successful public speaking. Sixteen clients enjoyed a "Full English" and then went through a rapid fire speaking course using an innovative system developed by Proem to help nervous and novice presenters to deliver a message with confidence. Kate Lakeland, a Proem executive and expert in communication, gave feedback to the speakers on such as pace, non verbal communication, tone of voice and that all important part of any speech - how to engender enthusiasm and commitment

Trant Construction, one of the south's largest construction companies have appointed Proem to deliver a management development programme for site managers. The programme started in early spring and sessions have covered Managing Myself, Motivating the Team and Effective Delegation. Each course is of 3 hours duration with tasks (the managers call it their homework) set that ensures the learning is taken forward and applied in the workplace.

The increased attention being given to Executive Coaching has resulted in two new contracts for Proem. A programme, working under a contract with Guildsrealm, to coach a number of senior managers at Vitacress commenced in the first week of August and continues well into the autumn. Vitacress is a major employer in Hampshire and supplies Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's with packed salads as well as producing their own brand products.
